Recovery is Possible

Every journey towards recovery deserves comprehensive support. Medical, psychological, social, and economic.

Our Philosophy

Recovery from addiction is a long-term process. It requires medical intervention, psychological healing, family reconnection, and economic opportunity. We don't just manage drug use—we support transformed lives. While we don't operate a residential facility, we partner with accredited rehabilitation centres and provide comprehensive outpatient support.

Our Rehabilitation Services

Rehabilitation Referrals

For clients needing inpatient residential treatment, we facilitate referrals to accredited facilities including Kombani Rehabilitation Centre and other trusted providers. We provide transport support and family engagement to ensure successful admission and ongoing connection.

Medically Assisted Therapy (MAT)

Methadone maintenance for opioid dependence. Daily or weekly dispensing with adherence monitoring and counseling support. Dose adjustments based on clinical needs. Part of our integrated care approach serving 2,500+ clients across Kwale County.

Family Reintegration

Rebuilding damaged family relationships. Family counseling, mediation, home visits, and family education on addiction and recovery. We recognize that family support is essential for sustained recovery.

Vijana wa Huduma Leadership Pipeline

Transforming recovering youth into community leaders and peer mentors. Leadership training, public speaking, and community mobilization skills. Youth champions become agents of change in their own communities. Many go on to join TWC staff.

Ongoing Recovery Support

Alumni groups, relapse prevention planning, check-in calls, and sober social events. Recovery is not a destination but a journey. We walk alongside our clients through the long-term challenges of sustained sobriety.

Recovery Pathways

Different journeys require different supports. Here are the common paths we support:

1 Active Use → Stabilization

Person uses drugs → Connects with NSP and counseling → Initiates MAT → Becomes stable on methadone → Engages in psychosocial and economic programs

2 Inpatient + Community Support

Decision to enter rehab → TWC facilitates referral → Outpatient support during stay → Family engagement → Transition to MAT and community integration

3 Peer Leader Trajectory

Recovery + engagement → Peer educator training → Vijana wa Huduma leadership → Organizational employment → Mentor others in recovery

4 Economic Opportunity

Stabilization → Financial literacy training → Vocational skills → Micro-enterprise → Self-sufficiency and family support
